REVIEW

Friday 21st July saw a fabulous, well known, and some may say infamous duo at Orpington Friday Folk.

The vanguard of "Glam Folk" - Tone Deaf Leopard were a cracking group to spend an evening with. The place was crowded, if you did not come over to see them, shame on you! More so, when you learn that a chap from Northumberland came down to see them!

With such classics as "Washing Day", "Road Kill Cafe" and that controversial number "A Wee and a Shave" the whole club were in uproars of laughter. Trevor's singing was superb, Sue's accompaniment was great (I really do think she has improved greatly over the last month or so!) and she did him proud. Trevor only has one problem, his "paws" can't hold on to his plectrum ! (but he keeps them in a nice 'sac' !!!). Miss them next time at your peril.

Be Afraid!!! We'll be doing it all again on Friday September 28th.

We've started work on our second CD - our sponsor John Barden- says he's recording a second one too, who'll be first?

Sunday October 7th 2007found leopards invading the Island of Sheep. We were asked to M.C. the birthday party of the year for our dear friends Paul Steele and his lady, Helen.  .It was with some trepidation that we approached the awesome new bridge seen in daylight for the first time. It's more like a launching pad than a BRIDGE!  watch out for low-flying sheep!!   . It was an afternoon of surprises.... the entertainment provided by Paul, his family, and folk friends. There was a groaning table of food, to which we had all contributed, a free raffle with some interesting prizes, a charicature artist, on hand to sketch anyone who had need of a lasting memnto of the day, and there was TDL . We got a scratch band up for the last number, amongst which were, Trevor Stevenson on washboard, Derek Moore on voice, Dave Kenningham on guitar and voice, Steve Harding on bongos, and several other guitarists plus the assembled guests on various shaky items. It sounded totally awesome!!!!
